Shift
Pitched as the capstone learning experience for a global hospitality client, Shift was created out of the need to reinforce employee learning whilst being highly accessible and scalable. Mobile was chosen to allow greater accessibility and socialization. Cognitive learning frameworks informed design decisions and user inputs. Scenario content could be added or removed at any time, and featured complex branching and responsive difficulty.
I led the design of this game, prototyped from scratch in consultation with the Director of Engineering. This fostered a close partnership between design & technical to develop an alpha quickly, and without the burden of resourcing a team of people until functionality was complete.
I oversaw and contributed to the graphic design, UI, scenario writing, programmatic input, internal playtesting, and client beta processes.
